Tuesday's Tumblr Theme Tip: Pages

We are starting a new weekly series today. Each Tuesday we will be providing helpful information on how to customize a specific feature or style with one of our Tumblr themes.

Today’s tip actually has to do with all of our themes. More than any other question, we are asked how to add pages and/or set up pages so they redirect to a page with posts that share the same tag.

Pages are actually a feature of the Tumblr platform and not our themes, therefore the great support team at Tumblr has put together this detailed page on Tumblr Pages: http://www.tumblr.com/docs/en/pages. All the information you ever wanted or needed to know about Tumblr Pages is right there.

One of the best parts of my day is getting to drop my son off at school. Sometimes we listen to one of his favorite kids albums — right now it’s the Barenaked Ladies SnackTime album, a very clever collection of kid-friendly songs. It’s about the only one I don’t mind listening to over and over.

Other times, he’ll play one of the many educational apps on the iPad; his favorite being “Stack the States,” which we play together. That app has helped him learn all 50 states and their capitals. Not bad for a 7-year-old!

Sometimes, when we get to the school, I like to snap a quick photo to remind me of our morning rides. And then I can’t wait to pick him up after work and see how his day went.

Life is always busy in our family and these photos, these happy moments frozen in time, help to remind me to take stock of what’s really important in life.

Team Outing!

Sunday night we all braved the rain to attend a sold out Trampled by Turtles concert at the Jefferson Theater in Charlottesville. We had a blast and the show was awesome. For the last song they brought out the opening band, These United States for a cover of The Weight by The Band…what a great way to end the show!

Seven years ago this weekend I stumbled into entrepreneurship. While July 25, 2005 is the official date when Business Bullpen was founded, it really began 3 months earlier.

In April of 2005, I left my job at Musictoday to take another position for a small internet company in Charlottesville. My wife and I celebrated by taking a long weekend at the Homestead resort. While vacationing, I received a call from my new employer that the owner had decided to shut down the line of business I was hired to run! I was out of a job. Luckily, I left Musictoday on good terms and started freelancing for them. I was and still am very thankful for the opportunity Musictoday provided me seven Aprils ago. That was my first contracting gig, and in my mind the first engagement for Business Bullpen.
